Abstract

The benefits of exercise are so widely recognized that since 2016 it has been available on prescription. Whatever your age, exercise has many advantages. It is therefore entirely understandable that it should feature among non-medicinal treatments. Cycling based on the Tour de France model in residential care homes for dependent elderly people, supported by a solid team project, has provided an opportunity to combine sports training, cognitive mediation and cultural discovery.
