Abstract
Background
Anatomy is a core subject in nursing education, yet its complexity often challenges first-year students. Visualization-based approaches, such as 3D virtual cadaver simulation, may enhance learning outcomes.
Methods
A randomized controlled pretest–posttest design was used. The experimental group participated in 2-hour 3D virtual cadaver simulation sessions weekly for five weeks, while the control group received conventional instruction. Academic confidence and perceived academic achievement were measured before and after the intervention, and learning satisfaction was assessed post-intervention.
Results
The experimental group showed significantly greater improvements in academic confidence and academic achievement than the control group, as well as higher learning satisfaction.
Conclusion
3D virtual cadaver simulation effectively enhanced academic confidence, achievement, and learning satisfaction in nursing students.

Clinical Simulation in Nursing is an international, peer reviewed journal published online monthly. Clinical Simulation in Nursing is the official journal of the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation & Learning (INACSL) and reflects its mission to advance the science of healthcare simulation.
We will review and accept articles from other health provider disciplines, if they are determined to be of interest to our readership. The journal accepts manuscripts meeting one or more of the following criteria:
Research articles and literature reviews (e.g. systematic, scoping, umbrella, integrative, etc.) about simulation
Innovative teaching/learning strategies using simulation
Articles updating guidelines, regulations, and legislative policies that impact simulation
Leadership for simulation
Simulation operations
Clinical and academic uses of simulation.
