Abstract

Pharmacy education is pressured to be efficient, effective, economical, and relevant. Preparing pharmacists to address the health problems of the 21st century and beyond requires continual curricular improvements while allowing opportunities to transform what and how we teach. It is challenging to determine how emerging technologies, advances in instructional design, and increasing costs influence the landscape for pharmacy education today. This commentary discusses a curriculum revision process at a well-established PharmD program that changed program length, structure, and assessment systems, and shares experiences and lessons learned.

All manuscripts are formatted and copyedited, and returned to the author for review and approval of the changes. Approximately 2 weeks prior to publication, the author receives an electronic proof of the article for final review and approval. Authors are not assessed page charges for publication.
