The sum of measured particle production cross sections and the reported value of complete fusion cross section [1] is found to match reasonably well with the estimated reaction cross section. Abstract

Elastic scattering and various particle (α, 6,7Li, 9,10Be, and 11B) production angular distributions have been measured with 10B projectile on 209Bi target at 54 MeV beam energy. The optical model calculation was performed for the elastic scattering angular distribution and the reaction cross section was estimated. The α particle production cross section was found to be dominant than other particles production. The sum of measured particle production cross sections and the reported value of complete fusion cross section [1] is found to match reasonably well with the estimated reaction cross section. Charged particle coincidence analysis was also performed to identify various breakup and transfer followed by breakup channels.
