Phononic Crystal Mid-IR Detector
The cover shows a false-colored SEM image of a phononic-crystal-oscillator-based mid-infrared detector. The high-Q phononic crystal resonator achieves ultralow readout noise, resulting in highly sensitive, wide dynamic range mid-IR detection.
