Abstract

The cover illustrates G-quadruplex-forming aptamers as therapeutic oligonucleotides for neurodegenerative diseases. Their unique secondary structures confer high target specificity, while clay-based nanocarriers, including halloysite nanotubes and montmorillonite, are depicted as stabilizing and delivery platforms. This combination provides exciting opportunities to enhance nuclease resistance, bioavailability, and targeted transport across biological barriers.
