Abstract

In this paper, a third-order state–space model of the metal hydride tank is formulated and analysed. Before the identification of the unknown parameters of the model, we first analysed their identifiability, i.e., whether we can obtain a unique unknown parameter vector from the available information. Secondly, due to the large number of unknown parameters in the proposed model, the identification of all the unknown parameters requires huge computational costs.
