Abstract

We report the synthesis, spectroscopic analyses and solid-state structural evidence of an unprecedented positional isomer of aromatic [18] N-confused corrole exhibiting vis-NIR absorption. The copper metalation led to an organo-copper(III) complex with preserved aromaticity.
