Abstract

Intratympanic membrane cholesteatoma (ITMC) is a rare type of cholesteatoma located within the tympanic membrane. Surgery is a treatment option if the ITMCs do not spontaneously disappear. Transcanal endoscopic ear surgery is anticipated to become the standard approach in the future.
