Results revealed that the soil was contaminated with Pb, Mn, and Fe exceeding WHO limits, with tubers having higher metal concentrations than grains. Pb, Ni, Cr, and Zn levels in all crops exceeded FAO limits. Abstract

The present study assessed the level of heavy metals in soil and food crops near Babban Tsauni gold mines and associated ecological and health risks.
