Abstract

C–S Coupling Reactions

In article number 2505046, Sungtak Kim, Kolleboyina Jayaramulu, and co-workers highlight recent breakthroughs in heterogeneous catalysis for carbon-sulfur (C–S) bond formation, pivotal for pharmaceutical synthesis. It focuses on advanced nanomaterials including metals, metal oxides, single atom catalysts, 2D materials, and nanoporous MOFs that mitigate sulfur induced catalyst poisoning. Emphasis is given to catalyst architecture, structure activity relationships, and DFT guided mechanisms for designing next generation C–S coupling catalysts.
