Abstract
Based on the measurements of automatic ultrasonic complexes, an analysis of the intensity of the urban heat island and its effects on turbulent flows in record-breaking warm winter events in Tomsk is given. It is shown that the urban heat island intensity and the apparent heat fluxes are higher at night than during the day, and vice versa during a thaw. The turbulent flux changes, even in conditions of large-scale advection, are modulated by the state of the underlying surface.
