Structural analysis revealed that <strong>1</strong> features a unique xenicane-related skeleton with a cyclic hemiacetal structure. The nematicidal activity of the isolated compounds was evaluated against the plant-parasitic nematode <em>Aphelenchoides besseyi</em>. Abstract
Three previously undescribed diterpenoids, designated amijial (1), dictyoepoxyperoxide (2), and hydroperoxyacetyldictyolal (3), were isolated from the brown alga Dictyota dichotoma along with eight known diterpenoids. Structural analysis revealed that 1 features a unique xenicane-related skeleton with a cyclic hemiacetal structure. The nematicidal activity of the isolated compounds was evaluated against the plant-parasitic nematode Aphelenchoides besseyi.
