Abstract

The influence of electropulse treatment modes on the structure, microhardness, and mechanical characteristics during the tensile testing of the nanostructured shape memory alloy Ti49.3Ni50.7, produced by electroplastic rolling, has been investigated. The optimal current density and exposure time, at which the grain size in the microstructure of the alloy remains in the nanometric range, the strength characteristics do not decrease, and the relative elongation to failure increases, have been determined. The possibility of replacing prolonged traditional furnace annealing with short-term electropulse treatment has been demonstrated.
