Abstract

The article considers the problem of optimizing a two-stage cylindrical gearbox according to two different criteria. The response speed of the gearbox and the minimum weight are accepted as optimization parameters. To increase the response speed of the gearbox, a formula is proposed that considers the rational distribution of the total gear ratio between the gearbox stages. A similar approach was used to optimize the minimum weight and eventually put forward proposals for the logical distribution of the gear ratio between the stages according to these two criteria.
