Abstract

This article addresses the design and implementation of an automation system for a foundry shop. The process stages are detailed, with an analysis and comparison of the monitoring and control equipment used. An optimized process based on the automation system is described. The hierarchical structure of the process automation system is developed. The selection of equipment is discussed, with a focus on import substitution.
