Abstract
Mathematical modeling has been used to study heat transfer during five-layer casting of impact liners from wear-resistant chromium cast iron. From the analysis of the calculated temperature fields, a number of patterns that showed a significant difference from heat transfer during casting as whole have been obtained. Experimental testing has revealed significant refinement of the carbide component in cast iron in the depth of the casting.
