[Systemic approach to psychobehavioral symptoms in the elderly with neurocognitive disorders].

Abstract

Psychobehavioral disorders in the aftermath of neurocognitive diseases are common in geriatric institutions. The systemic approach takes a holistic approach to understanding and managing these disorders. It is based on the multiple interactions between the various players involved, and facilitates appropriate assessment and intervention. Its application in geriatric institutions requires reflection on organizational and relational practices.
