Survival of total knee arthroplasty in patients with Parkinson's disease: a registry study.

Implant survival was significantly lower in the PD group compared to the control group (p < 0.001). At 13 years, the survival rate was 88.8% in the PD group and 94.3% in the control group. PD patients had a 2.7 times higher risk of implant failure after adjusting for age and gender. Constrained implant designs were associated with a 1.7 times higher risk of failure compared to non-constrained designs in PD patients.</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>PD negatively affects implant survival in patients undergoing TKA. Abstract
