Abstract

Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dislocation causes significant pain and functional impairment in patients, necessitating prompt manual reduction. Conventional manual reduction techniques often induce substantial discomfort, resulting in unpleasant clinical experiences. The authors have introduced a novel technique for nitrous oxide (N2O)-facilitated spontaneous reduction of TMJ dislocation. This technique is characterized by its simplicity, efficacy, and pain-free nature, eliminating the need for physician intervention.
