{"title":"Impact of professionalism education integrated with mini-CEX on clinical competency in obstetrics and gynecology clerkships: A brief report.","authors":"Haiying Sun, Ruoqi Ning, Shuang Li","doi":"10.4103/jehp.jehp_1975_24","DOIUrl":null,"url":null,"abstract":"<p><strong>Background: </strong>This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of integrating professional education with Mini-CEX in improving clinical competency in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) clerkships.</p><p><strong>Materials and methods: </strong>A total of 116 clinical medicine students were randomly divided into two groups: the experimental group (58 students) received professionalism education along with conventional teaching, incorporating Mini-CEX assessments every two weeks, while the control group (58 students) received conventional teaching only. The Mini-CEX tool included seven components: medical interview, physical examination, professionalism, clinical judgment, explanation and education, organizational efficiency, and overall competence. Abstract
