Abstract

This paper presents a device for controlling optical fields using conic binary zone plates. These plates consist of two orthogonal polarizers integrated with a phase retardation plate. When illuminated with linearly polarized light, and by varying the phase shift between the orthogonal components, the polarization state at the focal region can be dynamically modified. This method enables precise control of optical properties, with potential applications in areas such as optical communications. The effectiveness of the proposed device is demonstrated through computational simulations, which illustrate how the optical field behavior changes under different operating conditions.
