This commentary stresses the imperative of providing sustained support for community partnerships to bolster program efficiency and ensure long-term sustainability. By examining examples from both research and program implementation, we delineate the multifaceted roles that affected communities play in shaping health outcomes. Furthermore, this article outlines essential enabling conditions for effective community engagement. A case study illustrating successful community involvement is presented, showcasing the tangible benefits of community-led initiatives.
