This article outlines the early steps taken to introduce responsible artificial intelligence into public health practice by developing local capacity, predictive surveillance tools and ethical governance strategies. Drawing on implementation experiences within the country's health institutions and communities, this article highlights practical lessons and operational insights. Abstract
