Abstract

Manipulation and Application of Split Modes

In Research Article e01163, Liang Lu and colleagues present an approach for selectively addressing specific split modes in a whispering-gallery-mode microcavity by incorporating an external fiber cavity. Combined with coherent detection, a self-frequency mapping technique is proposed for detecting low-frequency signals; this marks an advance in the field of ultra-weak signal detection.
