Abstract
Collision tumors are rare neoplasms composed of two histologically different cell lines in the same location. They are usually formed by the collision between carcinomas and sarcomas/lymphomas.
We present the case of an 81-year-old man with obstructive jaundice who was diagnosed with a mass in the head of the pancreas. A cephalic duodenopancreatectomy was performed, and histological analysis revealed a collision tumor between invasive ductal adenocarcinoma and undifferentiated carcinoma with osteoclast-like giant cells.
These tumors are usually diagnosed after surgery, and the prognosis may vary depending on the grade and stage of each histological lineage at the time of diagnosis.
