Abstract
This study presents an aggregation-engineering strategy to create tunable, reversible mechanochromic elastomers by doping carboxylated perylene bisimides (PBI) into polyurethane elastomers (TPUs). Additionally, the mechanochromic sensitivity of PBI was found to correlate with the hydrogen bonding strength between TPU and PBI, providing theoretical guidance for anticounterfeiting and sensing applications.
