Abstract

Objectives: to translate and adapt the Attitudes Towards Suicide questionnaire to the Brazilian context.

Methods: methodological, cross-sectional study. The original English version of the instrument was translated into Brazilian Portuguese, subsequently back-translated into the original language and sent to the original authors. It was then assessed by a Committee of Experts composed of nine members and evaluated through a pre-test with 35 participants from the general population aged 18 to 65 years.
