Its Ir complex exhibited high efficiency in the hydrogen isotope exchange of 1,2-disubstituted arenes by cooperative catalysis of the Ir complex and the Lewis-acidic sites on <b>BBcat</b>. <b>BBcat</b> and the Ir complex are symbolically associated with mythological Genbu and Suzaku. Abstract
In their Research Article (e202503322), Takanori Iwasaki, Kyoko Nozaki, and Ryo Mandai realized a stable tetraarylborate anion, BBcat, which exhibits strong Lewis acidity.
