Abstract

Dual cobalt sites and a built-in electric field in CoS/Co─N─C were designed for selective electrochemical co-valorization of HMF and CO2, as reported by Li Shuai et al. in their Communication (e202511448). The optimized catalyst achieved exceptional performance metrics, with 99.0% HMF-to-FDCA selectivity and 98.6% CO2─to─CO selectivity.
