Abstract
We present the case of a middle-aged man with orbital and maxillary invasive aspergillosis on treatment with oral voriconazole, who presented with photosensitivity, cracked lips and dark-brown hyperpigmentation of face, upper chest and trunk after 4 months of treatment. Photosensitvity occurs in 10%-20% of patients on treatment with voriconazole, and may even lead to cutaneous malignancies. Patient education about the phototoxic effects of voriconazole is essential at the outset of therapy.
