Identifying predictors of AF recurrence after effective electrical cardioversion (ECV) may help personalize treatment, for instance, by affecting modifiable factors of unsuccessful long-term rhythm control. Disseminating information on this topic may benefit individual patients, lower the risk of subsequent procedures and the associated complications, and decrease health care costs.
