Abstract

This study analyzes research trends and developments related to Safety Performance and its implementation solutions through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on Scopus data from 1919 to 2023. The results showed a significant increase in publications, especially after 2000, reflecting global attention to safety issues. The main factors that affect Safety Performance include the safety culture, technology, human factors, and regulations. Key challenges include resource constraints, inconsistent regulations, and reliance on legacy technologies. Strategic solutions include strengthening safety culture, adopting modern technology, and simulation-based training. This study also highlights the role of Safety Performance in creating a competitive advantage through improved reputation, efficiency, and sustainability. These findings are relevant for supporting occupational safety, particularly in the Indonesian shipping industry.
