With a solid background as a medical surgeon from UNAM and a specialist in general surgery from the IMSS, his career at the institution spanned 47 years of unwavering dedication. Dr. Cruz Vega was an upright man, passionate about serving. His memory remains alive in every medical action with a social purpose, in every better-prepared hospital, and in every professional inspired by his example.
