Abstract
A fundamentally crucial suggestion to rectify the fits to the high-resolution X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) raw data for the S 2p core level published by Dirin et al. (Nano Lett. 2023, 23 (5), 1914-1923) is presented herein.
