Abstract
Iron exchanged zeolite catalysts have been synthesized by an aqueous ion-exchange with iron powder and acetic acid under a protective atmosphere. This simplified strategy for producing Fe(II) in situ was found to lead to highly dispersed iron even within the zeolite framework for small-pore zeolites, which is attractive for various catalytic applications. The obtained samples were applied in the selective catalytic reduction of NOx with NH3.
