Abstract

This article introduces some methods for improving the color shift in the side view of LCDs, particularly for wide-view displays. By coating films with different refractive indices at various positions on the panel, color changes in the side view can be achieved. Moreover, the side-view color can also be adjusted by means such as adjusting the backlight's white coordinates and adding a small retardation film outside the panel.
