Abstract

The design and preparation of particulate drug delivery systems are crucial for enhancing drug efficacy and reducing adverse effects. Spray drying has emerged as a versatile technique for tailoring the particle size, morphology, encapsulation efficiency and release kinetics of drug-loaded particles. This review provides a comprehensive overview of spray drying processes used in the design and fabrication of particulate drug delivery systems.
