Abstract
The usefulness of the tellurophosphate host, Sr2Zn3Te2P2O14, towards colour tunability and white light emission has been illustrated. The cover represents the different colors that can be generated by careful choice of the substitutions at the Zn-position in the structure. The metal-to-metal-charge (MMCT) transfer effects along with the allowed d – d transitions were responsible for the observation of vivid colors in the host. The red (Eur3+), green (Tb3+) and blue (Tm3+) emissions using the tellurophosphate host result in white light, which enhances the potential of this material towards solid state lighting applications. The work opens possibilities in exploring tellurophosphate compounds towards multifunctional optical materials. More details can be found in article number e202500500 by Shreya Sasmal and Srinivasan Natarajan.
