The patient developed hypertrophic scarring, reflecting ongoing tissue damage beyond the visible eschar. Persistent subeschar acidity suggests that current treatment protocols may not sufficiently address the penetration of corrosive substances, leading to prolonged inflammatory processes and unfavorable scarring outcomes.
