Abstract
Artemisia selengensis Turcz 1929 is a well-documented constituent of traditional Chinese medicine and is often used as a health food. Here, we sequenced and assembled Artemisia selengensis Turcz var. shansiensis (Qinghao in Chinese) complete chloroplast genome. The complete chloroplast genome ofQinghao is 151,236 base pairs (bp) with a 37.46% GC content, containing 133 genes (88 protein-coding genes, 37 tRNA, and 8 rRNA). Phylogenetic analysis revealed that Qinghao was closely related to A. selengensis MH042532.1 and ON942235.1. The investigation and documentation of the chloroplast genome of Qinghao provide a foundation for the effective preservation and application of this plant species.
