Abstract
Cardiovascular conditions continue to be increasingly common. This narrative review addresses the barriers in managing cardiovascular diseases in primary care settings, including but not limited to disparities in healthcare access, asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic nature of many conditions, and nonadherence to treatment. Strategies for early detection, patient education and tailored interventions are discussed across five major cardiovascular diseases.
