Abstract
Osteochondroma is a common benign tumor typically found at the distal ends of long bones, characterized by a bony outgrowth capped by cartilage. While it is uncommon in the craniomaxillofacial region, it most frequently occurs within the mandibular condyle within this area. This report presents an exceptionally rare case of an intraarticular osteochondroma of the mandibular condyle, exhibiting a unique detachment from the host bone. We review this unusual presentation along with relevant literature and discuss potential etiological factors.
