Abstract

Leaky wave antenna using dielectric image line has attracted attention as base station antennas in the sub-millimeter wave band because it has high gain and can achieve $\text{cosec}^2$ pattern. However, the pattern is affected by the feeding system such as parallel plate. Therefore, we investigated ways to suppress the influence of the feeding system and achieve $\text{cosec}^2$ pattern by applying offsets to periodically arranged metal strips.
