Abstract
This communication describes a synthetic approach for strasseriolide A & B via ring-closing metathesis reaction. The stereoselective synthesis of key olefin fragments, followed by their assembly, yielded the crucial bis-olefinic intermediate. However, despite our best efforts, the critical ring-closing metathesis reaction was unsuccessful.
