Abstract
In their Research Article Hao Li and co-workers (e202425402) resolve a long-standing question on hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) descriptors. Especially, poisoning is an essential consideration in single-atom catalysts (SACs). When the metal sites are poisoned, the N sites of SACs may become new active centers. Most importantly, by combining H binding energy with HO binding energy, a more effective way to predict the HER performance of SACs is offered. This approach provides new guidance for catalyst design.
