In this paper, the properties of Fe<small><sub>2</sub></small>O<small><sub>3</sub></small> photocatalysts are reviewed, and the photocatalytic mechanism is explained. Modification methods such as morphology control and doping can significantly improve the catalytic efficiency of pollutant removal by improving the specific surface area and electron transfer performance. The research progress and light stability of Fe<small><sub>2</sub></small>O<small><sub>3</sub></small> photocatalysts for removal of pollutants in water were reviewed. Abstract
Fe2O3-based photocatalysis is one of the most promising technologies for the removal of pollutants in water.
