Abstract
In FLP chemistry, (anti)aromatic modulation presents a compelling strategy for tuning the reactivity. This study explores previously unexamined (anti)aromatic modifications at the basic site in P/B-based IFLPs, revealing that aromatically modified phosphorus centers exhibit higher CO2 activation energies due to an unconventional bonding mode, indicating a deviation from existing hypotheses. These findings offer complementary mechanistic insights and broaden the understanding of (anti)aromatic effects in IFLP systems.
