The Surgical Safety Checklist (SSC) is one of the tools implemented that has proven to be most effective in in reducing morbidity and mortality associated with surgeries. Its impact is tied to implementation policies. Although the SSC is universal, the WHO has encouraged adaptations for different specialties. The purpose of our work is to present the SSC used in our hospital for major and minor ophthalmic surgery.
