Abstract
Introduction: This study is unique in that it is the first bibliometric analysis study addressing nursing studies on immigrants. This study aimed to evaluate global trends and current issues in the 49-year history of nursing studies on immigrants.
Method: This retrospective bibliometric analysis study was conducted with 832 data obtained from the WoSCC database on March 11, 2024. Bibliometrix Package in R software, VOSviewer, and WoSCC were used for data analysis.
Results: The research findings were evidence that immigrant-related nursing studies were growing rapidly in the scientific world. While the most productive journal was the Journal of Transcultural Nursing, the most productive and collaborative country was the United States. "Refugees," "qualitative," "health disparities," "health literacy," and "mental health" were determined as hot topics in the field. "COVID-19" and "migrant" were global trends.
Discussion: For studies to be planned regarding immigrants, nursing researchers can take into account the results of this study.
